Currently only single source recyclables are actually recycled. To make things worse, most consumers who are willing and ready to sort and prepare their waste have no idea what “single source recyclable” means.

Mandated recycling programs, pushed through trash haulers under social and political pressure, have dis-empowered the public by providing a recycle bin where over 80% of reclycable waste is going to landfill.

Trash companies are not the solution to our recycling problems. Planet Protectors holds weekly recycling events at local businesses to educate and inspire our community to practical action that keeps plastics out of landfills.
